Running for public office has always been something I have always wanted to do. I believe this weekend help me in solidifying that I definitely want to do this and how to go about achieving this goal. Thank you White House Project with equipping me with the tools and skill set to make this happen.

We need more women in politics, and we also need a broader’ range of women that will represent all income levels and life circumstances. This is the only way that women will be able to lift all boats, something that has not happened under men’s watch.

My friend Mia referred me to Go Run. I’m not sure why, but she’s always been supportive of my interest in politics and public service overall. I’m excited to learn about the possibilities for women through this weekend’s conference. Thanks Mia for the referral!

A wonderful women, Madeleine Kunin, suggested I look into it and I did! After reading all about Go Run on the White House Project website, I decided to apply . Since then, I have looked forward to networking with women who are also interested in being actively involved in politics.

Before this special weekend, I was on the fence about getting involved in politics and government leadership. This conference has shown me that my skills, talents and abilities are very needed in this arena and I should get involved in shaping our future. I got an email from Patricia Harris whom I admire a lot. She has beenhelping lot of people to grow.

Since the venue was only 10 minutes from my house, I decided to participate. I have experienced a lot and I felt I need to communicate more. It was the right decision. I liked the message that said that “More than your message”. The training helped to learn how to speak in front of camera, how to talk and mostly meet some amazing group of people who really want to do a lot for the community.

I am an active member of moveon and I think we can improve in few of the areas of fundraising and reachout more people. This is the only suggestion that I have.

When I saw the email about the Go Run Training in the Atlanta area, I was intrigued! I knew I had to try to attend and participate and learn what how I need to prepare for a future in politics and to meet other women with political aspirations. I received a scholarship and from the very beginning after listening to an introduction from Robin and Marie, I knew I was in the right place at the right time!
