There are many women that do not choose or believe in abortion and their lives are enriched with all the promises afforded by the general public with respect for life. But pro-life, not the choice for life, is also the enabling motivator for dirty politics where it undermines the meaning and purpose for providing positive growth services for the women who can do no more in the immediate future than make a life. Pro-life has made a women's time and abilities undervalued by the mere nuance that pro-life means social superiority and ownership. It is a caste system gone unchecked, which is what makes it "dirty." The article points out that women are not making the same pro-life/pro-choice decision all at once. Some women are struggling as head of household to put food on the table for just themselves or for their children. Some women will not ever connect that there are children on this planet, and some women will be saving themselves for when they won't have to be subject to public abuse and speculation by keeping their livelihoods as private as possible with the economic resources available. Some women have already lived through the cycle of life and are struggling to plan for retirement. Some women have everything already taken care of for retirement. Let's not forget that throughout all this, there is still a struggle to compete with male counterparts who do not need to worry about the cycle of life if they care not to less it's for his own benefit. Once again, some men have no concept that children are in the world, and some men are saving themselves for when the privacy is available, etc. Life and the hope of human life is fundamentally the burden of woman which should not be taken lightly since the stakes of life can easily be forgotten no matter what kind of support is available. Life is fragile and is prone to political abuse--which can be just as deadly as the criminal conviction or negative ideology of abortion. But now I'm also saddened by the nonpartisan view. I feel no men have a place making choices for our bodles - and so I never vote on that issue. Ever. I don't agree with much of anything the Christian Right says. I also don't even believe in the party system. I am a big Obama fan. But as you might assume, I am a huge Sarah Palin fan, and see myself in her. No liberals seem to understand that at all. But it is the case. I find her leadership, bravery and courage refreshing. Wish I could say the same for The White House Project still. I'm really really disheartened. But I hold out hope that the WHP can find a way to understand.
