One of the many ways you can ignite your own leadership during the presidential election is to lead by example. We have teamed up with Mattel to encourage young girls to participate in Election Day 2012, and we’re asking you to encourage a young girl in your life to get involved.
Here’s your challenge: When you go to vote this November, take a girl with you. Walk her through the ballot, explain the importance of understanding the issues, and emphasize the power of a single vote. The earlier girls understand the power of their own leadership, the closer we all come to a future with diversity at the top levels of business and politics. We have a downloadable kit to help – click here to find more ways to engage a girl in the election process!
Remember to share the experience! Share your photo of Take A Girl to the Poll Day by tweeting @TWHP #Binvolved or e-mail Allie at aarends@thewhitehouseproject.org.
Filling out your ballot by mail? No problem! We’d still love to see a photo of you engaging with a special girl in your life!
